today is February 21, the day before the anniversary of the Feb 22 earthquake, but today still feels like an anniversary of the event to me.

Today is Tuesday, the earthquake last year happened on the Tuesday. It happened on the second day back to uni, which for uni students this year is today. 

One year ago I was excited to start the new school year fresh, I wasn’t sure how I was going to do it, but I was going to pass at the very least. And then on the second day of the school year an earthquake hit that completely changed things. 

It’s just all weird. It’s weird to me that I can go on google street view and still see Christchurch as it was, I can’t believe it ever looked like that and at the same time I can’t believe it’s been a whole year since it looked like that. 

I think tomorrow for the anniversary I’m going to go into work early, I don’t want to be home alone when everyone is having the 2 minutes of silence, and it’s only an hour earlier than I’d need to be in.
